Culture of Giving

Culture of Giving

When you are truly blessed, it seems only natural to want to share your good fortune with others.

Over the past 70 years, Mid-States Concrete Industries has weathered its share of tough times, but has also seen thriving times.  And it is in these thriving times that the company reflects on part of its purpose: to help those in need within the Mid-States Concrete Industries family as well as our community at large.

In any given year, Mid-States Concrete Industries provides financial gifts and sponsorship to a number of community organizations.  It has become part of the culture here at Mid-States.  Just recently, we have supported the Stateline YMCA, Beloit Health System, Beloit 2020, South Beloit Firefighters Association and Women4Wellness.

“It’s part of the culture of caring,” said Hagen Harker, President of Mid-States Concrete Industries. “… Strength of character, self-worth and the feeling of being able to give is why we’re here.”

Hagen said it is important to Mid-States to focus on community-based organizations because they not only serve our Mid-States team, but they are critical to a vibrant and successful community.  The organizations Mid-States supports make for a stronger Stateline community and help strengthen our families.

In addition to providing donations through the company, Mid-States Concrete Industries also has a Sunshine Fund, which a separate committee manages.  This fund is used to bring a little sunshine to the Mid-States family and the community-at-large.

As a proud member of the Stateline Community for more than 70 years, Mid-States Concrete Industries wants to say a huge THANK YOU to all the organizations, businesses and individuals making a difference in our community.

If not for the team’s effort our ability to give would not be possible. A huge thank you to the entire Mid-States family for making it all possible! Live, Love, Laugh.
