Robert MacDougall | Controller
By far, my greatest accomplishments have been my marriage of 8 years to my best friend and wife, Ereka, and raising our three amazing sons, Madden, Grayson and Bowen. Following would be graduating with honors (Cum Laude) from Upper Iowa University in 2011 with a BASc degree, majoring in Accounting, and advancing my career over the years which was made possible only by the grace of God and a few people He has placed in my life who have given me mentorship and opportunities to which I am eternally grateful.
Off the Clock:
My middle son, Grayson, is autistic so a lot of my wife and I’s free time is spent learning about what Grayson’s world looks like through his eyes and researching new ways to help him and other children with Autism learn, grow, and assimilate in the world the rest of us see. Grayson has blessed us with a perspective on life that many of us forget about as we grow older and he continues to challenge us for the better each and every day. When I do have free time, I enjoy vacationing with my family, hunting, fishing, woodworking, golfing, gardening, and spending time around my koi pond.

Off the Clock
Spending time working with our two Portuguese water dogs (Chewy and Wrigley), two cats (Tux and Addison Clark), two birds (they don’t answer to any names) and one Angora Rabbit (Shoeless Joe Jackson). Spending time at Woodhaven Lakes with our family.
An interesting fact about my family, we are long distance relatives of Hubert H. Humphrey. (Maiden name is Humphrey)
Helen Outten | Accounts Payable Specialist
I am a regular blood donor and am very proud of all the lives I have saved by donating.
Off the Clock
My husband Allen and I spend most of our time at home, raising our 4-year-old granddaughter, Fayth. She keeps us very busy and on a very strict schedule during the week. Fayth is a ton of fun and is the love of our lives.
When not at work, I love to be outside working on the yard during the warm months and going camping. During the winter months, I love working in the house. I repaint rooms, organize the basement, and like to do a lot of redecorating and rearranging. I always seems to be rearranging the kitchen cabinets and drawers, which tends to keep my husband constantly wondering where things are.
Amanda Parr | Senior Plant Accountant
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 12 years and have a son who will be turning 1 year very soon! I earned my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degrees while working full time, which was a huge win for me.
Off the Clock
My favorite thing to do when I am not at work is spend time with my family. I also like to go to concerts and see live bands…. anything from cover bands to big name bands. Last year I was lucky enough to see Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica (husband’s pick). This year I plan to go to Country Thunder and hopefully, several other concerts. My family and I like to vacation in Missouri. Our extended family have land near Lake of the Ozarks so we try to plan at least one trip every year.
Heather Haynes | General Accountant
I have my Bachelor’s in special education, but returned to school to learn accounting. I was a teacher for nearly 15 years before joining the Mid-States team! I also lived in Arizona for about five years and loved hiking the mountains.
I’m not involved in so many of my own activities these days as much as I am in my 10-year-old son’s, but I am a regular blood donor and like to volunteer when my schedule allows.
Off the Clock
I love to travel, but don’t do so as often or as spontaneously as I did prior to having a child and my summers off! My taste in music and movies varies greatly – two of my faves are the Wizard of Oz and Friday.
I’m a grammar fanatic. My son, Jax, was on two episodes of the TV show Chicago Med last year, so I filed his tax return along with mine.
