I have been with Mid-States for 22 years, learning in many different departments before becoming Production Supervisor.

I helped with CareerTek when the kids came to Mid-States to learn about concrete. It was fun working with them.

I love to golf, play racquetball and spend time with friends and family. I like live music (local bands, etc.) and I’m a big Chicago sports fan.

Accomplishments
I’ve been with Mid-States for 12 years. I started out working on wall panels for about a year, then became foreman of the stripping crew, then moved to foreman of our architectural area. After about seven years of doing that, I became the lead foreman of Wet Cast, which led me into my role now as supervisor.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three children we brought into our home recently; also like to work with wood, building things for the house; and occasionally enter a demolition derby.

Prior to coming to Mid-States, I’ve had the opportunity to work for a plastic injection molding company within the automotive industry. I was able to hold several roles within the company and learn a great deal before transitioning to Mid-States. Some of those roles included Prototype Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Maintenance Manager.

I enjoy getting out to Delavan Sportsman Club to shoot trap, which I started about 5 years ago now. When I can, I like to be in the garage working on a project or two, often something with wood working. Preferred beer is Spotted Cow but I like to try just about any beer once…. Except IPAs…
MONTE KAHL

Fifteen years at Lear Corp (Industrial Engineer, Launch Manager, Engineering Manager). Launched the GMT-800 program. Off-site setup and debug of all equipment, trained all operators, gutted the plant, and installed all the new equipment in a three-week shutdown period. Twelve years at M.P.C. (Facilities Manager and Production Manager). Installed all infrastructure for two new sites in Janesville, WI and Morrison, TN.

Family, golf, cards, and Las Vegas. Also, a charter member of Thursday night Sheepshead club.

Grew up working the tobacco fields on my grandparents’ farm in Cambridge, WI.

I am most proud to have been part of the road crew. I point out buildings that I was part of constructing to my family and friends anytime the opportunity presents itself.
Favorite Memory
Up to this point, all of my favorite memories are times with friends from the road crew, both at work and outside of work. I have a lot more than one favorite.
